Mechanical Engineering forms the basis for various engineering disciplines. Graduates of this field may be employed in a vast range of career opportunities. The programme is designed to enable engineers to develop their skills and competencies in mechanical, maintenance and manufacturing engineering sectors to meet the needs of today’s industry.
The following qualification is also available as exit award of the Applied Bachelor (BEng Honours) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Higher National Diploma (Advanced Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering – 2 Years
Why enrol on this programme?
Students will gain a range of essential competencies in areas relevant to their current or intended employment, such as CAD, drafting, engineering design, engineering management, employability skills and project management. Students will learn to use their mathematical and analytical skills to solve real-life problems. They will be equipped with competencies in organizing and analysing information, interacting with computing technology and selecting engineering materials.
The Applied Bachelor (BEng Honours) in Mechanical Engineering is a dual award programme currently being developed and finalised to be conferred by Emirates Aviation University and Coventry University, UK.
The Higher National Diploma (Advanced Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering is a dual exit award conferred by Emirates Aviation University and BTEC Pearson, UK. The EAU award is subject to recognition by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the UAE.
Not only will students learn comprehensive theory, but EAU will also provide the means to gain practical experience in well-equipped laboratories and workshops as well as hands on experience in a real workplace environment through on job training and internships where applicable.
Mechanical engineers are sought-after in all types of industries, such as construction, marine, oil and gas and aerospace. The programme helps learners build a firm foundation for employment. Graduates may choose to pursue a higher education (Master’s and PhD degrees) in several engineering areas.
