The Applied MSc Psychology is a part-time blended learning programme. The classroom based element is taught by Coventry University faculty at Emirates Aviation University Dubai campus, and this will be combined with elements of on line learning. The Applied MSc Psychology programme is a conversion path intended for graduate learners whose first degree was in a (relevant) subject other than Psychology. The course provides knowledge and understanding of the core areas in psychology and confers eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS – providing students obtain an overall mark of 50% or above). The course is aimed at learners who are seeking to enter employment as professional psychologists. The programme is a first step towards chartered status as a professional psychologist (GBC). Successful graduates with GBC will have appropriate academic evidence for further study on BPS accredited Masters’ degree programmes in Forensic Psychology, Forensic Psychology, and Crime, Occupational Psychology or Health Psychology, each of which are important stages in career development within these fields.

The course is delivered on a part-time basis over 24 months. The classroom based teaching contact will be delivered at Emirates Aviation University, which is located in Dubai International Academic City. There will be a total of five and a half days of teaching contact which will be delivered in 3 blocks of delivery as follows:-
- 2.5 days in block one
- 2 days in block two
- 1 day in block three
The Applied Master (MSc) in Psychology is a dual award programme conferred by Emirates Aviation University and Coventry University, UK. The EAU award has been submitted for recognition by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the UAE. The programme is also accredited by the highly recognised professional British Psychological Society (BPS).
There are three intakes per academic year: September, January & May, subject to learner enrolment..
The Applied Master in in Psychology will equip you with knowledge and skills to prepare you for career development within your existing job role or for the possibility of career advancement or a change in career direction.

Applicants are expected to have one of the following:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- HND with five years’ professional experience
- Relevant professional qualification
- Candidates with other qualifications to the above will be considered on an individual basis subject to an interview with the faculty
- Students whose first language is not English are required to have an IELTS score of 6.0
