The Applied Bachelor in Aerospace Technology is a three year programme based on the British model for higher education awards. During those three years learners will receive a broad education and application in all Aerospace disciplines, such as aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion, structures and systems.
From the very first day of studying at our University, Learners will use the aircraft as objects of study in order to gain knowledge about learning skills. As the programme progresses, the emphasis shifts gradually from theory to application. Lectures alternate with seminars, laboratory courses and projects where you put the knowledge you have acquired into practice. The paradigm of the programme is skill-based with less focus on theory and more on coursework and application.
The Aerospace industry has many exciting opportunities - from design and construction to maintenance and operations. The Applied Bachelor in Aerospace Technology programme will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to pursue these opportunities. Learners will develop the technical skills required to maintain 21st century Aviation and Aerospace fleets into the future. Students will learn how to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, develop and repair aircraft discrepancies using highly-advanced equipment and techniques.
The Applied Bachelor in Aerospace Technology is a dual award programme conferred by Emirates Aviation University and Coventry University, UK. The EAU award is recognised by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the UAE.
The Higher National Diploma (Advanced Diploma) in Aeronautical Engineering is a dual exit award conferred by Emirates Aviation University and BTEC Pearson, UK. The EAU award is recognised by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the UAE.
This programme aims to equip graduates with the skills to become successful engineers and engineering managers, both in aerospace and the wider engineering industry. Graduates of this programme have gone on to become aircraft maintenance engineers, planning engineers, design engineers, quality engineers and engineering managers for a wide variety of companies. Some have chosen to become pilots. Graduates may choose to pursue a higher education (Master’s and PhD degrees) in several engineering areas that include Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering.
Not only will students learn comprehensive theory, but EAU will also provide the means to gain practical experience in well-equipped laboratories and workshops as well as hands on experience in a real workplace environment through on job training and internships where applicable.

- High School Certificate - A recognised and officially certified secondary school certificate or equivalent with a minimum 80% as a total average, between 70 – 79% will be subject to an interview.
- Five GCSE/IGCSE O-level subjects + 2 GCE AS-level subjects with a minimum grade ‘C’ in all OR
- Five GCSE/IGCSE O-level subjects + 1 GCE A-level subject with a minimum grade ‘D’ in either Maths or Physics.
- Original certificate for either TOEFL Paper Based (500); or TOEFL CBT (173); or TOEFL IBT (61); or IELTS (5) or PTE Academic (36).
- Transfer admission/Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) is possible, subject to the applicable EAU regulations, in Years 1 and 2, but not allowed for the final year.
