The Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business (Management) programme is aimed at students who want to continue their education through applied learning. The programme provides learners with an opportunity to gain an insight into all aspects of general business management including marketing, accounting and finance, human resource management, operations and project management and law along with other business disciplines which will provide a solid foundation in essential business practice.
The Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business (Management) is a two-year programme which aims to provide a high quality vocational business education. The curriculum is carefully designed to integrate core business modules with more specialised modules offered in year two as detailed in the illustrative study schedule below.
Why enrol on this programme?
You will gain understanding of how a business operates, the challenges involved in managing a business and what makes it successful. You will study a variety of business subjects where the emphasis is on application to business organisations, and the learning environment will incorporate industry visits and guests speakers, wherever possible to give you a real life vocational aspect to your learning. Your assessments will be based on local and global business organisations with a vocational context.
Programme Delivery (Part-Time)
One module will be studied each month. There will be 10 classes per month, each class from 6 to 9pm, usually on Sundays and Wednesdays and on 1 or 2 Mondays. You will study 6 mandatory modules in the first year plus 2 additional elective units. In year 2 you will study 2 core mandatory units, 3 specialist management units and 2 elective units. You will have a combination of classroom lectures which includes ample opportunity for you to participate in group activities, individual assignments, case study analysis, presentations, role plays and debates etc. This ensures that you will be prepared for employment in business fields and will be qualified to pursue top up degree programmes.
Depending on course duration, there is a possible exit award available after one year - a Higher National Certificate in Business after successfully completing 6 core mandatory units and 2 electives (120 credits)
The Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business (Management) qualification is a dual award programme conferred by Emirates Aviation University and Pearson BTEC, UK. The EAU award is recognised by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai.
You have three opportunities to join this programme, either in January, June or September of each year.
