Hanan Hussain is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics & Data Science, Emirates Aviation University (EAU), with a PhD in deep learning from BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus, awaiting her final viva. Her thesis, titled "Efficient and Secured Computer-Vision-based Deep Learning Models for Resource-Constrained Environments," reflects her expertise in optimizing AI for low-resource settings. Before BITS, she was a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIRC) at Ajman University, focusing on tackling challenges in medical imaging, network security, and financial markets using AI/ML methods. Hanan's work has gained recognition across the MENA region, recently showcased at the 4th Forum for Women in Research (WIRF,2023). She is also an academic editor for PLOS One (Q1) Journal and has authored vital research papers in high-impact journals such as ACM Transaction, IEEE Access, and Springer Nature AI Review. Hanan has presented at top-tier conferences like ACM SenSys '22 and contributed as a research volunteer at the University of Massachusetts, USA.
