In addition, several universities in UK have individually confirmed that this Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering fulfils their entry requirements, either on its own or when achieved alongside other qualifications.
The Pearson BTEC Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering was designed in close collaboration with industry, it is a High School equivalent vocational qualification, ideal for learners aged 16 + who are interested in an alternative learning environment to High School.
Students graduating from this programme may choose to begin their careers with an airline engineering maintenance facility, aviation maintenance, aviation manufacturing, or engineering services company.
Successful completion of the Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering qualification will also enable you to progress to an Applied Bachelor Program in a relevant field of study.
The Extended Diploma is primarily a Technical Level qualification, which has been designed as a full two-year programme of study, enabling learners to develop a substantial common core of knowledge, including an Engineering Project, Mathematics for Engineering Technicians, Theory of Flight Principles and Applications of Aircraft Mechanical Science, and allowing them the maximum opportunity to study in more depth a full range of option areas of their choice, such as Aircraft Maintenance Practices and Aircraft Electrical Devices and Circuits.

Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering enables you to progress to study at the BEng (Hons) in Avionics, Aerospace and Mechanical Technology programs.
