The Applied Masters in Human Resource Management and Applied Masters in Human Resource Development programmes aim to enable learners to progress in any career linked with the management and development of people.
Managing and developing human resources is becoming much more complex as we see companies grow their business by entering new markets, expanding by acquisitions and mergers, or restructuring to remain competitive. There is an increasing requirement to integrate personnel from different cultures and organisations, whilst at the same time identifying the potential of employees and developing their skills accordingly. These added complexities make it imperative for companies to seek out personnel who have the appropriate skills and training to successfully manage and develop human resources.
Why enrol on this programme?
The programme aims to prepare you for developing your careers in the areas of Human Resource Management or Human Resource Development. One of the many benefits of enrolling on this programme is that you will gain Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) graduate status in just 18 months (part-time) in addition to your Applied Masters in Human Resource Management or Human Resource Development. You will be able to meet and reflect the CIPD’s professional standards and expectations. You will be able to cultivate the essential requirements needed to work within the broad context of people management and development. You will ne able to analyse models, theoretical frameworks, past and current HRM practices and partake in skills workshops. You will develop sound skills and strategies to help organisations achieve their objectives and add value.
The course is delivered on a part-time basis, in five-day blocks per module, held every two months. Modules span the weekend to facilitate minimum disruption for participants in full-time employment. Programme duration is a minimum period of 18 months. All faculty teaching this course are CIPD accredited and fly to Dubai, from the UK, to deliver the modules at Emirates Aviation University, which is located in Dubai International Academic City.
The Applied Master of Science in Engineering Business Management award is conferred by Emirates Aviation University and Coventry University, UK and recognised by the National Qualifications Authority – UAE.
You can enroll on this programme every two months whenever a 5 day module is scheduled.
The Applied Master in in Human Resource Management or Human Resource Development will equip you with knowledge and skills to prepare you for career development within your existing job role or for the possibility of career advancement or a change in career direction.

Applicants are expected to have one of the following:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- HND with five years’ professional experience
- Relevant professional qualification
- Candidates with other qualifications to the above will be considered on an individual basis subject to an interview with the faculty
- Students whose first language is not English are required to have an IELTS score of 6.0
