The Applied Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Air Transport Management programme provides learners with an opportunity to gain an insight into all aspects of aviation management including airline and airport management, aviation strategy together with a solid foundation in essential business practice.
The BSc in Air Transport Management is a three-year programme designed in line with international standards and aims to provide a high quality business education with a strong focus on the aviation industry. The curriculum is carefully designed to integrate core business modules with more specialised Air Transport modules that focus on topics related to airline and airport management, as detailed in the illustrative study schedule below.

You will gain understanding of how the aviation sector operates, the challenges involved in managing a business within this sector and what makes it successful. You will study a variety of business and aviation modules such as accounting, economic environment, finance, marketing, organizational behavior and human resource management as well as specialist aviation and air transport management modules. The emphasis is on application aviation and air transport organisations, and the learning environment will incorporate industry visits and guests speakers, wherever possible to give you a real life vocational aspect to your learning. Your assessments will be based on local and global business organsiations with a vocational context.
You will study 9 mandatory modules in the first year, 8 mandatory modules in the second year plus 4 electives, followed by 6 mandatory modules in the final year. You will have a combination of classroom lectures which includes ample opportunity for you to participate in group activities, individual assignments, case study analysis, presentations, role plays and debates etc. This ensures that you will be prepared for employment in a variety of air transport and aviation fields and will be qualified to pursue post graduate studies.
The Applied Bachelor of Science in Air Transport Management award is conferred by Emirates Aviation University and Coventry University, UK and recognised by the National Qualifications Authority – UAE.
You have two opportunities to join this programme, either in the Fall semester (August / September) or in the Spring semester (January / February).
The Applied Bachelor in Air Transport Management will equip you with knowledge and skills to prepare you for employment with airlines, airports, ground services operators and fixed base operations or further study in Air Transport Management at post graduate level.

- High School Certificate – An officially certified secondary school certificate or equivalent, with a minimum total average score of 80%; scores between 70-79% will be subject to an interview
