BBA in Aviation Management

Aviation Management is a unique specialisation offered by only a few universities around the world and is tailored to meet the needs of the fast-growing aviation industry.

The Bachelor Aviation Management is a four-year programme designed in line with international standards. The programme aims to provide a high quality business education with a strong focus on the aviation industry. The curriculum is carefully designed to integrate 17 core business modules with 16 specialised major courses that focus on topics related to airline and airport management as well as seven general courses and three electives courses, as detailed in the illustrative study schedule below.

Why enrol on this programme?

You will gain understanding of how the aviation sector operates, the challenges involved in managing a business within this sector and what makes it successful. You will study a variety of  aviation, business and general courses such as route and fleet planning, airline operations, airport operations, accounting & finance, marketing, organizational behavior and human resource management as well as some general modules. The emphasis is on application to aviation organisations, and the learning environment will incorporate industry visits and guests speakers, wherever possible to give you a real life aspect to your learning. Your assessments will be based on local and global aviation business organsiations.

Programme Delivery

You will study 17 core business modules, 19 aviation modules and 7 general modules over the 4 year period. You will have a combination of classroom lectures which includes ample opportunity for you to participate in group activities, individual assignments, case study analysis, presentations, role plays and debates etc. This ensures that you will be prepared for employment in a variety of aviation business management fields and will be qualified to pursue post graduate studies.

Exit Qualifications

Depending on course duration, there are two possible exit awards available:
1 Year Diploma in Aviation Management (DAM) OR
2 Years Higher Diploma in Aviation Management (HDAM)

Accreditation

The Bachelor of Arts in Aviation Management award is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education.

Student Intake

You have two opportunities to join this programme, either in the Fall semester (August / September) or in the Spring semester (January / February).

Career Prospects

The Bachelor of Aviation Management will equip you with knowledge and skills to prepare you for employment or further study in Aviation Management at post graduate level.
