Dr Evangelia Pantelaki is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Business at Emirates Aviation University. Previously, she was a Senior Lecturer (acting) in Transport Studies at the Centre for Transport & Society (CTS) at University of the West of England, Bristol. She is an active researcher and passionate about aviation research where she has conducted so far research on business aviation, leadership in airline companies and currently works on business charter air transport connectivity in the United States, aviation and tourism in Italy, and sustainable aviation. She has participated in several applied research projects in Italy and the UK and has worked with local authorities and the UK Department for Transport on topics such as cycling tourism, sustainable transport policies, older peoples' mobility, e-cycles and demand responsive transport. She has been actively involved in the literature review process and primary data collection by preparing and delivering high quality questionnaires. What is more, she has been further involved in the statistical analysis of both primary and secondary data from National Statistics Offices. She has experience in identifying and discussing targeted transport policies with interested stakeholders and policymakers through public events and workshops. This is coupled with her previous professional experience as Economic Consultant to several Greek Ministries. She has participated in various European and International conferences either presenting her work or chairing and organising special sessions. She is a reviewer for highly ranked peer reviewed journals e.g. Journal of Air Transport Management, Annals of Tourism Research, Research in Transportation Economics, Research in Transportation Business and Management, and Journal of Transport and Health. She contributes widely to the transport community and has been invited to talk about sustainable transport policies and climate change. She sits on the editorial board Research in Transportation Business and Management, Journal of Air Transport Studies and Journal of Airline Operations and Aviation Management. She a member of the German Aviation Research Society, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) – Aviation Policy Group, Women in Aviation International and Hellenic Aviation Society.
