Hicham Mashmouchi obtained his BSc degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1984, a Masters degree in Thermodynamics and related studies in 1987 and a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering/Rotating Equipment in 1994 - The University of Birmingham – England – UK. Currently, He is a Professor and Dean of Faculty of Engineering at EAU. He has served as Director of Training Programmes and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Power, Propulsion and Aerospace Engineering of Cranfield University in the UK, where he also contributed to the design and delivery of advanced postgraduate courses in his fields of specialization. Professor Mashmouchi was the Director of Engineering Programs and Research Projects Outreach at the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences of Heriot – Watt University – 2006-2011. He has been publishing high quality peer reviewed research papers in international Journals as well as conferences and proceedings. In addition, he has developed substantial experiences in initiating, managing, delivering and directing higher education programs in Europe and the Middle East. His research work is recognized nationally and internationally with their impacts demonstrated by the extent of citations and direct industrial adaptations and applications. Professor Machmouchi has more than 30 years of teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate, CPDs and professional levels. Currently, he has been involved in lecturing courses/modules directly related to Aircraft propulsion, Jet Engine Simulation and performance analysis, Gas Turbine Diagnostics and Prognostics. Professor Machmouchi has ample knowledge and appreciations of the challenges facing the Aviation and the Energy industries nationally and globally and he is a key speaker in Sustainability, Sustainable Aviation and Environmental Impact assessments.
