Dr. Muner, currently, is an assistant professor of mathematics, numerical analysis, in the Faculty of mathematics and data science at the emirate’s aviation university, Dubai, UAE. He joined EAU in Augustus 2022. Before, he was an assistant professor at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. He taught, for three years, many courses in AUC and his teaching outcomes were very excellent as explained in the students’ evaluations and the opinion of the chairs in mathematics and actuarial science department at AUC. During these years he taught many courses at the Future university in Egypt. Dr. Muner, also, started his postdoc at FUE at 2020 working in Numerical solution of fractional order differential equations. He has been publishing high quality peer reviewed research papers in international highly cited Journals (most of them Q1 and Q2). His main work is: numerical study using effective approximation methods of some differential equations, optimal control of real-life mathematical models, ill-posed problems, fractional calculus models, and their optimal control. His current research interest includes numerical analysis for differential equations and their optimal control using different numerical methods such as: weighted average nonstandard finite difference method, Spectral methods.

Dr. Muner earned his Ph.D. in numerical analysis in 2019. The comments of his thesis examiners were:

  • Dr. Fawang Liu, Australia. “I think that this thesis is an excellent thesis”.
  • Dr. Svetozara Petrova, Germany. “The thesis shows without doubt that the author has a strong mathematical back-ground”.

His master thesis was about numerical methods of differential equations and their applications in financial mathematics. Dr. Muner has two postgraduate Diploma in Educational Rehabilitation and mathematics Teaching Methods and in pure mathematics. He has taken many courses at AUC that helped him to use different modes of e-learning with modern teaching techniques.

Dr. Muner supervised many theses for Ph.D. and M.Sc. He is referee of several international journals, in the frame of pure and applied Mathematics.
